“The Rittenhouse Case IS NOT About White Supremacy” - Here’s why it is…
The reason you don’t understand “White supremacy” is because you look at things without racial context. So of course, it wouldn’t make sense to you and it’s easy to go into a debate about the merits and the exact law vs. wondering why it’s a feature of the system and when you don’t question it, you’re actually defending it.
When you add a racial element into it, it alters the perspective so drastically that the outcome of actions when compared to the exact circumstances to another case will never actually take place.
Here’s an example; there is no true point-to-point comparison with Rittenhouse because if anyone other than a White person was in that same situation, they would be eliminated by the time they got to the protest, thus rendering the point moot. The law (via police intervention or otherwise) has done its job.
Would the police hesitate to shoot an armed Black man? They shot many Black people who were unarmed. Would the same Black person, if captured alive, will then get a trial? Even in death, the case wouldn’t be about the merits, it would be about their entire life.
White supremacy is a system that says “as long as you’re White, you’re get a trial that will uphold our values. All others will be lucky to get respect as a human being”
Re: “I Am So Shocked” - White people about Rittenhouse’s verdict
To all the White people… at least the ones that are shocked by the verdict, I got a quick reality check for you.
You’re not shocked. You have selected memory. There are so many cases of White privilege that you shouldn’t be surprised anymore.
“The system failed-” no, it didn’t. It worked out exactly as planned. You had an obviously biasedjudge presiding over the case. The judge messed with the case to soften the tone.
I wish I can say “if it was a Black boy…” but you know the outcome. You know it’s not going to be the same. There wouldn’t even be a trial. He would just have been dead. And if there is a trial, it wouldn’t be about the death, but theboy’slife.
But sadly… “it’s not about race. The victims were White. He was threatened by someone pointing their gun at him. The case wasn’t about him crossing the state lines, or him having ownership of the gun. The case was about the fact that the boy felt threatened for his life!” - as much as I hate to see this, this is what the main point of the case was. And because it’s all about this… not the state crossing, or the assault rifle and decided to take manners into his own hands to protect a neighborhood that he didn’t even belong to. And the reason that the case was all about that one point is because the law is set up so that you can only debate THIS manner.
The system works the way it’s supposed to. Stop being shocked. We knew it was going to happen because people can bend the law to suit their needs. And if the person is dead? “Dead men tell no tales”
I am not showing this to hear/read “this is what happens when you demand a living wage”. Matter of fact, I’m preempting that argument. Capitalism have always favor lower cost of operations to maximum profits.
So, instead of the argument of “this will put jobs in jeopardy”, I want to see something else. Like… what jobs are supposed to be left so that there’s meaningful work? Because honestly, let’s face it.
Jobs, like this, serves people directly and soon, they will be automated in one way or another. College education doesn’t automatically mean you’ll be employed in the field you’re trained for, unless it’s specialized, and even then, that requires years of experience. The term “essential workers”, which became important during the pandemic, is now a running joke. Because as important as “essential workers” are, we were also at risk of being exposed to COVID-19. Yet, essential workers didn’t deserve a livable wage according to people who think of jobs, such as this, is meaningless or “it’s too easy” or “meant to build character” or “get real skills”.
Now, I’m not saying robots will be replacing every single facet of our lives. But the main issue is… it’s coming. It’s going to start. Some jobs are going to be replaced or become outdated. So, you might as well start laying down the groundwork because automation is coming. There is no meaningful work out there. The current model is dated and the people who loses the most are the ones who aren’t prepared.

I changed my blogging name to stop being harassed by y'all because no matter how many times I try to educate and debate, y'all like flipping cockroaches.
So yes… for setting an example of how Jan 6th will forever be defined as a case study for how “justice is colorblind”. For all the times I gotta defend myself for MY story to the point that I have been gaslighted… f*ck you, pay me.
Did you conjure up my blog post from months ago and think I wouldn’t clap back, you dumb f*ck?
I wasn’t aware of how long ago this was posted nor do I care to ponder on such. Pft.
Sorry about your injuries and all. Hope you heal. As for the money entitlement, I have nothing empathetic to say there. I bid you good day and wish you happiness. Something money can’t buy.

i haven’t seen anyone on tumblr talking about this and i think we need to
just to clarify what we’re seeing here:
cully pratt, chris pratt’s brother, a sergeant in the solano county sheriff’s department in california, openly supports the three-percenters, a far-right militia group with ties to the january 6th insurrection at the us capitol among other things, and posts their imagery online.
chris pratt hypes his brother, and has also been seen at public appearances wearing three-percenter symbols, thereby publicly endorsing this shit as well.
i’ve already seen people try to distance chris pratt from this, saying, “it’s his brother, not him!!” hate to break it to you, but when you are a famous person and use your platform to publicly display symbols endorsing far-right hate and white supremacy, that makes you culpable. he is at best completely ignorant, but that’s giving him a lot more credit than he deserves, frankly; even so, even if he actually is just ignorant, that definitely doesn’t give him a pass. there should be accountability no matter what.
